Detectives from the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command have arrested a 17-year-old on suspicion of encouraging terrorism, contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
They arrested the boy from north London in the area at approximately 0535hrs today, Wednesday, 17 April.
He has been detained in custody at a south London police station, under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
Detectives are currently executing a search warrant at an address in north London.
Enquiries are ongoing.
