MANILA: Senior military officers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) agreed to work closely together to combat terrorist threats particularly those posed by the Daesh extremists in the Middle East.
Colonel Edgard Arevelo, the spokesman of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), reported that the military chiefs adopted this stand during the 14th Asean Chiefs of Defence Forces Informal Meeting hosted by Manila.
