A 400-metre-long quay and 250,000-square-metre yard extension will be added during the first phase of the port’s development.

Global container terminal network DP World have won a 30-year concession for the Port of Berbera in Somaliland, in which it plans invest $442m over three phases. The deal includes an automatic 10-year extension.
The multi-purpose deepwater port will be developed and operated via a joint venture with the government of Somaliland that will be 65% controlled by DP World.
