France wants Haftar to rule Libya

The French newspaper Le Monde quoted a French source as saying on Saturday, that Paris is seeking a return to stability and order in Libya by enabling Haftar to take over the country.

The source considered the war on Tripoli an attempt to undermine the peace efforts in the country, noting that Paris is facing criticism because of its position on the recent developments and the military escalation of Haftar’s forces in Tripoli, according to the Le Monde.
