Iran has threatened the security of the Strait of Hormuz in recent weeks and regularly indulges in sabre-rattling posturing.
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari warned the enemies of the country’s crushing response to any threat.
Speaking to reporters in the northern city of Rasht on Wednesday, the top commander said Iran’s naval forces are vigilantly protecting the country’s maritime borders against threats and will make the enemies regret any hostile move against the Islamic Republic.
He further noted that the Navy has plans to expand its presence in the international waters, as in the Pacific Ocean, the South China Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
