Mast – Knife Defence Course

Knife crime in England and Wales has been rising steadily since 2014. Last year there were 39,818 offences involving a knife or sharp instrument. The number of homicides committed by knife has jumped to the highest level since Home Office records began in 1946, with 285 killings in 2017-18. (Source The Guardian)

We provide weapon defence training for our door supervisors to ensure that they can deal with incidents safely and keep up to date with the latest techniques.

This week, MAST’s first course was run in Milton Keynes by Ricky Thomas a Krav Maga and CQB instructor. The course covered highly effective and practical techniques, ranging from footwork drills, striking and response. There was also a physical skills element to the course which explained edged weapon defence techniques and tactics.

MAST will be providing these courses for all our teams around the country.
