The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, says the Nigerian Navy has created mobile stations in Niger Delta as part of efforts to rid the waterways of piracy and other criminal acts.
He made the disclosure yesterday in Yenagoa when he visited Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson in company of the Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Mohammed Garba and other senior officers. Received by the deputy governor, Gboribiogha John Jonah, the CNS said he was in the state to inspect naval bases and establishments.
