A Japan-made vessel acquired by the Philippine government for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in December last year was deployed to Zamboanga Peninsula on Saturday morning.
Lt. Commander Geronimo Tubilla, captain of the 25-crew PCG ship BRP Malabrigo, said the vessel is bullet-proof and has sophisticated communication and navigation equipment.
