The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) would eliminate piracy on the territorial waters, its Director-General, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, has said.
Peterside told The Nation that the agency was determined to stem the criminalities on the nation’s territorial waters by deploying world-class equipment and synergies with other agencies. “We have a close working relationship with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) to foster an integrated approach to dealing with the menace.”
