‘NIMASA, HLSI Partnership Will Address Insecurity in Nigeria’s Waters’

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has emphasised that the motivation behind the partnership between the Ministry of Transport, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), HLSI, a maritime security company, was primarily to halt the maritime insecurity in Nigerian waters and end revenue leakages caused by security challenges.
Amaechi, made this known while speaking at a stakeholders’ interactive session on the in Lagos recently. The meeting also had in attendance the Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside among other leading figures in the maritime industry, major international shipping companies and other key figures in the sector.
