A total of 92 former sea robbers of Sundarbans surrendered to the law enforcing agencies during the last eight months who are waiting for their rehabilitation promised by the government. Of them, 45 are on bail now.
It has been known that the start to their rehabilitation process is being delayed as both the government and non-government organisations who are supposed to carry out the process are still contemplating over how to implement it.
