Rivals reach 3-day ceasefire in south Libya

A three-day ceasefire has been reached between forces loyal to Libya’s UN-backed unity government and East Libya-based military commander Khalifa Haftar in south Libya.

Hisham Abushkiwat, a member of an Amazigh delegation that brokered the deal, said the ceasefire was the result of meetings aimed to halt the warfare between the two rivals.
