In the Gulf of Guinea, media reports have suggested that Nigeria is poised to have War Risk premiums removed, although the rumours have not been confirmed. The country’s oil production has risen and the fight against oil theft seems to be making gains. Angola plans to buy new assets for its navy.

In the Indian Ocean Region, UKMTO reported a number of suspicious vessels near IRTC Point B. Israel has accused Iran of being behind a suspected UAV attack on an oil tanker and Liberia has issued an update for vessels which transit the region.

In European waters, this month sees the expiry of the Black Sea Grain Corridor agreement, with Ukrainian hopes pinned on an extension. The authorities in the Netherlands have escorted a Russian vessel from the site of a wind farm. There was significant loss of life in the Mediterranean, after a vessel carrying migrants broke apart.
