In the Gulf of Guinea, there have been two incidents reported in the period observed, including the recovery of a boarded vessel. As a result of the increase in recent reports from the region, the Nigerian Navy is to enhance its efforts in the Gulf of Guinea, they said. 

In the Indian Ocean Region, the Combined Task Force has made several large illegal narcotics seizures at sea, while Iran’s Navy has detained a vessel for allegedly smuggling fuel. Kenya’s Coast Guard has announced its first strategic plan.

In European waters, Ukraine has launched a new attack on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet at Sevastopol. The attack used uncrewed surface vessels but its effectiveness can’t be confirmed. Russia has again threatened to withdraw from the Black Sea Grain Corridor Initiative.
