BOSASO, Puntland – Several militants linked to the Islamic State franchise in Somalia were reported killed in fighting against Puntland forces near Qandala on Monday, Garowe Online reports.
In interview with VOA, Puntland Maritime Police Commander, Admiral Abdirazaq Diriya, stated that fighting took place at Labiib area, located 30 km south of Qandala district in Bari region, between Puntland forces and ISIS fighters.
