Troops clash with terror groups in Marawi City

The situation worsens towards evening as the Maute Group occupies a public hospital – the Amai Pakpak Medical Center

Clashes erupted in Marawi City on Tuesday afternoon, May 23, as the military moved to hunt down “high-value targets” belonging to the Maute Group and the Abu Sayyaf Group.

At least 5 security forces were wounded as the situation worsened towards evening. The Maute Group occupied a public hospital – the Amai Pakpak Medical Center.
