As part of efforts aimed at curbing militancy and boosting Nigeria’s crude oil output, Acting Director-General of the proposed Maritime Security Agency, MASECA, Mr. Ovweghre Jacob has promised to mobilize over 20,000 of its officers across the length and breadth of the Niger Delta to assist in intelligence gathering and surveillance in the region.
In a statement in Abuja, Jacob said the agency and its officers would be partnering with the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA and other security agencies in this regard.
