Weekly Security and Risk Report 07/07/2021

MAST’s weekly security report issue 288 is available to read now.

This week’s report includes an alert from MDAT-GoG regarding possible pirate attacks off Nigeria. The Nigerian Navy has released stowaway figures for the last 12 months, while in the Indian Ocean Region, investigations continue into an apparent attack on a merchant vessel. Concerns are growing over the increase in drug smuggling in the region, while violence persists in Mozambique.

In Europe, significant numbers of migrants continue to make the perilous crossing of the English Channel, with UK Border Force working hard to rescue migrants in distress.
