Weekly Security and Risk Report 21/07/2021

MAST’s weekly security report issue 290 is available to read now.

A busy week on the water, with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) vowing to stop piracy in the Gulf of Guinea, to record numbers of migrants crossing the English Channel in one day, key incidents and news from the past week are analysed in the latest maritime security and risk report, which is now available to read.

Among other events, robbers boarded a bulk carrier in Haldia Port in India, and joint drills were held in the Persian Gulf between Bahrain, Britain and the United States. Europe and the UK saw a spike in the numbers of migrants arriving on their shores, while more rescues took place in the Mediterranean and the English Channel.
