This week’s report highlights ongoing maritime security issues in the Gulf of Guinea, as the IMO praises Nigeria for its contribution to maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea. In the Indian Ocean, the CMF has seized heroin worth $4.3 million dollars at sea, while EU NAVFOR and the Indian Navy have completed their first joint ops. In Yemen, Houthis reportedly blocked a WFP vessel at the Port of Hodeidah. In Libya, meanwhile, nearly 1,500 migrants have been rescued at sea in the past week.
