Elizabeth Bullock

RUSSIA-UKRAINE War Consultant

Elizabeth Bullock

Elizabeth Bullock is one of few people to have spent 3 years working full-time in frontline areas of Ukraine. She is highly experienced in operating in frontline areas under fire and in targeted urban centres; working with regional and local governments; and executing immediate, near and long term solutions in country.

She provides exceptional advisory expertise on

  • How to operate safely, effectively and efficiently in country;
  • The realities and impacts of the war on the ground and how they vary across different regions;
  • Geopolitical and cultural complexities and how they manifest in and affect executing work in country;
  • What to expect: how the conflict and Europe's modern warfare continues to change and develop rapidly.

Prior to her time in Ukraine, Elizabeth was a technology director. Her 10+ years in the technology sector, primarily scaling start-ups, latterly included tools used for defence intelligence. Shortly after Russia's full-scale invasion she paused her career in technology and drove alone to Ukraine.  She applied her wide experience of start-ups in founding and leading an independent, quick-response unit for critical civic catastrophes. Her intimate experience of the war spans several theatres including the north (Kyiv, Bucha), the eastern Donbas (Lysychansk, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk), the north east (Kharkiv, Izyum) and the southern front (Kherson, Mykolaiv).
